VfB relies on "COLOURFUL AND WILD" against Wolfsburg

The breast ring in rainbow colors celebrates its comeback on the VfB special jersey "Diversity 22/23", long longed for by many fans.
VfB relies on
The chest ring in rainbow colors on the VfB jersey returns: The home match against VfL Wolfsburg (March 18, 3:30 p.m., Mercedes-Benz Arena) is all about "COLORFUL AND WILD". For this purpose, the team will play in a special jersey, which will be available in the fan stores from March 15. Five euros of the sales price will go directly to VfB Fairplay.

Visually, the special jersey is an absolute eye-catcher, sending a clear signal for participation, diversity and togetherness both in the stadium and in everyday life. The traditional VfB chest ring in the colors of the rainbow looks particularly good on the black base color of the jersey. Like the other jerseys of the current season, the fabric for the special "Vielfalt 22/23" jersey is made entirely of recycled polyester and is finely decorated with the silhouettes of Stuttgart landmarks. The jersey is also intended to be a lucky charm this season. To date, VfB Stuttgart has won all Bundesliga home games in which the boys from Cannstatt have worn special jerseys from JAKO.

Strong symbol on the action match day
Beyond the symbolism of the jersey, VfB Stuttgart is supporting the "International Weeks Against Racism" in German professional soccer with a day of action against Wolfsburg and once again acknowledging its commitment to diversity and its social responsibility as by far the largest sports club in Baden-Württemberg. VfB will welcome around 300 representatives of the projects and initiatives supported by VfB Fair Play as guests of honor at the home match against VfL Wolfsburg in the arena. Selected topics will be presented to stadium visitors in the supporting program and at special events organized by VfB partners.

Alexander Wehrle, VfB CEO: "Our thanks go to JAKO, Mercedes-Benz Bank and the other VfB partners with whom we are jointly organizing the 'colorful & wild match day'. We are leading the way, want to take as many people as possible with us on this journey and make it clear that VfB, our city and our entire region stand for diversity and actively live it. Our home match against Wolfsburg also represents our contribution to the 'International Weeks Against Racism', in which German professional soccer has been involved for many years."

Rouven Kasper, Board Member for Marketing and Sales: "After the huge success of the white previous model and our entire BUNT-UND-WILD collection, the current special jersey in elegant black with Stuttgart landmarks is a mixture of the clear message for a diverse VfB and our jersey design 22/23. JAKO's creativity and understanding of VfB and its fans is again perfectly expressed in this jersey. The fact that Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-Benz Bank and EQ are once again willing to adapt their brand logos on the jersey for this purpose is a strong joint sign for which we are grateful."

JAKO CMO Tobias Röschl: "The topic of diversity also plays an important role for us as a team sports outfitter. Therefore, I am even more pleased that we were able to implement this special jersey together with VfB Stuttgart. We at JAKO support the message behind it 100 percent, because diversity makes every team strong."
